Nobody cares

It is hard to hear the truth, but you will feel better after you discover it and accept it.

You will feel less hurt, less hate, less desperation and you will understand that your expectations are unreal.

Every #human being cares for someone or something. Some people #care for many things, some for very few. But, no one cares for everyone and everything. It is simply impossible. Humans are limited. Even if we start caring for something new, we will stop caring for something that we used to care. It is normal and there is nobody to blame. It is like a storage for caring. Once it reaches its capacity, something has to be removed so it can store something new.

Once we start thinking about all those things and people we care about, we realize why we care. It is usually some sort of obligation, gain or fear. Sometimes it is love, but not too often.

Don't say anything. Sit and think about it. Why do you care for your old mother, but not for the old woman on the street? Why do you care about your children and not those that are begging on the streets? Both are children. Maybe even same age? Why do you care about your car and not the car of your cousin? Why do you care and worry about the fire in your building, but not about the buildings destroyed in an earthquake far from you?

Answer is simple and I won't give it to you. I will just say that we as humans have built our lives, our memories and our personal stories based on the things and people we interact(ed) with. Take them away and you are not you.

You are still you if you move to another city or state, but inevitably you will #change and you will become a different person. If there were no new people and new things to make connections to and build memories and stories around them, then you will live in the past. You will desperately try to remember everything that happened to you before you got into this repetitive environment where nothing is new, because that is what defines you: the things you care about, the things you remember, the things that are/were close to you. That is, until you forget. Therefore, you forget who you are and inevitably you won't care about anything anymore.

“It is when you lose sight of yourself, that you lose your way. To keep your truth in sight you must keep yourself in sight and the world to you should be a mirror to reflect to you your image; the world should be a mirror that you reflect upon.”C. JoyBell C.)
